提摩太后书1:3-5
3我感谢神，就是我接续祖先，用清洁的良心所事奉的神，祈祷的时候，不住地想念你，4记念你的眼泪，昼夜切切地想要见你，好叫我满心快乐。5想到你心里无伪之信。这信是先在你外祖母罗以，和你母亲友尼基心里的。我深信也在你的心里。
3Timothy, I thank God for you—the God I serve with a clear conscience, just as my ancestors did. Night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4I long to see you again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we are together again. 5I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.
