彼得前书4:12-16
12亲爱的弟兄啊，有火炼的试验临到你们，不要以为奇怪，（似乎是遭遇非常的事）13倒要欢喜。因为你们是与基督一同受苦，使你们在他荣耀显现的时候，也可以欢喜快乐。14你们若为基督的名受辱骂，便是有福的。因为神荣耀的灵，常住在你们身上。15你们中间却不可有人，因为杀人，偷窃，作恶，好管闲事而受苦。16若为作基督徒受苦，却不要羞耻。倒要因这名归荣耀给神。
12Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. 14If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God#4:14a Or for the glory of God, which is his Spirit. rests upon you.#4:14b Some manuscripts add On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified. 15If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people’s affairs. 16But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!
