提多书1:12-13
12有革哩底人中的一个本地先知说，革哩底人常说谎话，乃是恶兽，又馋又懒。13这个见证是真的。所以你要严严地责备他们，使他们在真道上纯全无疵。
12Even one of their own men, a prophet from Crete, has said about them, “The people of Crete are all liars, cruel animals, and lazy gluttons.”#1:12 This quotation is from Epimenides of Knossos. 13This is true. So reprimand them sternly to make them strong in the faith.
