约翰一书3:3-10
3凡向他有这指望的，就洁净自己，像他洁净一样。4凡犯罪的，就是违背律法。违背律法就是罪。5你们知道主曾显现，是要除掉人的罪。在他并没有罪。6凡住在他里面的，就不犯罪。凡犯罪的，是未曾看见他，也未曾认识他。7小子们哪，不要被人诱惑，行义的才是义人。正如主是义的一样。8犯罪的是属魔鬼，因为魔鬼从起初就犯罪。神的儿子显现出来，为要除灭魔鬼的作为。9凡从神生的就不犯罪，因神的道（原文作种）存在他心里。他也不能犯罪，因为他是由神生的。10从此就显出谁是神的儿女，谁是魔鬼的儿女。凡不行义的，就不属神。不爱弟兄的也是如此。
3And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure. 4Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. 5And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. 6Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is. 7Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. 8But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. 9Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life#3:9 Greek because his seed. is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. 10So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers#3:10 Greek does not love his brother. does not belong to God.
