哥林多后书10:7-12
7你们是看眼前的吗？倘若有人自信是属基督的，他要再想想，他如何属基督，我们也是如何属基督的。8主赐给我们权柄是要造就你们，并不是要败坏你们。我就是为这权柄稍微夸口，也不至于惭愧。9我说这话免得你们以为我写信是要威吓你们。10因为有人说，他的信，又沉重，又利害。及至见面，却是气貌不扬，言语粗俗的。11这等人当想，我们不在那里的时候，信上的言语如何，见面的时候，行事也必如何。12因为我们不敢将自己和那自荐的人同列相比。他们用自己度量自己，用自己比较自己，乃是不通达的。
7Look at the obvious facts.#10:7 Or You look at things only on the basis of appearance. Those who say they belong to Christ must recognize that we belong to Christ as much as they do. 8I may seem to be boasting too much about the authority given to us by the Lord. But our authority builds you up; it doesn’t tear you down. So I will not be ashamed of using my authority. 9I’m not trying to frighten you by my letters. 10For some say, “Paul’s letters are demanding and forceful, but in person he is weak, and his speeches are worthless!” 11Those people should realize that our actions when we arrive in person will be as forceful as what we say in our letters from far away. 12Oh, don’t worry; we wouldn’t dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!
